Girl's Night In

 
Supplies
 
Scrap kit of choice - I am using the cute "Slumber Party" by Shell's Scraps available from Creative Scraps
Tubes of choice - I am using the artwork of Evil Kid which can be purchased from CILM
**PLEASE DO NOT USE HIS ARTWORK WITHOUT THE APPROPRIATE LICENCE**
Fonts of choice - I am using CurlzMT and Cinderella ITC TT
Plugin: Mura Meister Copies
Plugin: Eye Candy 4000 Gradient Glow
 
 
~ Step 1 ~
 
Open a new 600 x 600 blank canvas flood-filled white
 
Paste Flower1 as new layer
Resize by 10%
 
LEAVE IN POSITION
 
Effects / Plugins / Mura Meister / Copies with the following settings:
 
 
Paste Flower2 as new layer
Resize by 15%
 
LEAVE IN POSITION
 
Apply Mura Meister Copies again, this time changing the NUMBER to 10
 
Layers / Arrange / Move Down, then
Layers / Merge / Merge Down
 
Select the area inside your new Frame with your Magic Wand
Selections / Modify / Expand by 20
Add a new raster layer
Paste Paper7 into Selection
 
KEEP SELECTED
 
Layers / Arrange / Move Down
 
Adjust / Hue & Saturation / Colourise
Hue - 165
Saturation - 55
 
STILL KEEP SELECTED!!
 
Paste the first of your tubes as new layer
Depending on size of your tube you may have to resize up - we want this tube large
I resized up 200%
 
Selections / Invert
Delete and deselect
 
Effects / Plugins / Xero / Improver
Default settings
 
Set blend mode to Luminance (Legacy) and lower opacity to 25
 
Add a drop shadow to your Frame
 
You should now have something like this:

Let's paste our second tube so that we can work around it
 
Paste tube as new layer
Resize if necessary
Apply slight drop shadow
 
Paste Phone as new layer
Resize by 12%
Position beside your tube
 
Paste Sticker3 as new layer
Resize by 10%
Place beside your tube
 
Paste Compact as new layer
Image / Rotate by 20 to the right
Resize by 10%
Position to your liking
 
Paste Blowdryer as new layer
Image / Rotate by 20 to the left
Resize by 20%
Position to your liking
 
 
Paste selected StarBrads of your choice as new layers
Resize various sizes from 5 - 10%
Position around Frame to your liking
 
When you have all your stars HIDE all layers EXCEPT the stars
Then Layers / Merge / Merge Visible
Rename Stars
Unhide other layers
 
Crop and resize
 

~ Step 3 ~
 
Select your Preset Shape Tool to Ellipse
Foreground - #000000
Background - null
 
Hold your Shift key down and draw out a circle
Objects / Align / Centre in Canvas
 
Select your Text Tool
Choose a colour from your tube and a font of choice
I am using CurlzMT
 
Set your Materials Palette:
Foreground - null
Background - #e398d6
 
Place your mouse over the Ellipse and type your text
Open the Vector Layer in your Layer Palette
Delete Ellipse
Convert to raster layer
Apply a Gradient Glow and a slight drop shadow
 
H & V - 1
Opacity - 30
Blur - 3.00
Colour - #e398d6
 
Select your Text Tool again and another font of choice
I am using CinderellaITC TT
Type out your name
Objects / Align / Horizontal Centre in Canvas
Convert to raster layer
Add some noise and apply a Gradient Glow
 
Add a drop shadow:
H & V - 1
Opacity - 50
Blur - 3.00
Colour - #e398d6
 
Finally add your © copyright, licence and watermark
 
**IF YOU DO NOT WISH TO ANIMATE THEN DISREGARD STEP 4**
 
  
~ Step 4 ~
 
Activate the Stars layer
Edit / Copy
 
Open Animation Shop
Edit / Paste as new Animation
 
Effects / Insert Image Transition with the following settings:
 
 
You should now have 8 Frames
 
Back in PSP
Hide your Stars layer
Edit / Copy Merged
 
In Animation Shop
Edit / Paste as new animation
Then Paste After Current Frame till you have a total of 8 Frames
 
Edit / Select All on both image/animations
Ensure Propogate Paste is selected
Edit / Paste / Into Selected Frame
 
DO NOT CLICK UNTIL YOUR STARS ARE RESTING EXACTLY WHERE YOU WANT THEM, then Click
 
Edit / Select All
Animation / Frame Properties
Set to 30
 
Go to Frame 1
Animation / Frame Properties
Set to 50
 
Now go to Frame 8
Animation / Frame Properties
Set to 50
 
Finally and you're done!

Paste Frame6 as new layer
Resize by 60%
Position slightly to the left
 
Paste Fence as new layer
Resize by 50%
Position to the right of Frame
Layers / Arrange / Move Down
 
Paste Tree1 as new layer
Resize by 40%
Position behind Frame so that it protrudes slightly
 
 
Paste Puddle1 as new layer
Resize by 30%
Position below fence to the right of the Frame
 
Paste Flower1 as new layer
Resize by 30%
Position on the lower left corner of Frame
 
Paste Flower2 as new layer
Resize by 22%
Position alongside first flower
 
 
Paste Butterfly1 as new layer
Resize by 10%
Position above Fence

Add any other elements you like to make it your own

Now, let's add our photo, image or tube of choice
 
If you are using a tube, you should add a nice paper to the Frame for a background
 
So first choose an image or tube to use
Since I am using one of my own photos I will refer to this as "image"
 
Now, select the area inside the Frame with your Magic Wand
Selections / Modify / Expand by 10
Paste your image as new layer
Resize as necessary to fit nicely within Frame
Selections / Invert
Delete and deselect
 
Paste Paper9 as new layer
Layers / Arrange / Send to Bottom
Adjust / Hue & Saturation / Colourise with the following settings:
 
 
Then Layers / New Mask Layers / From Image
Locate Becky_Mask023
OK
Image / Mirror
 
Select your Pick Tool and use the Nodes to adjust the size and placing of the mask
 
 
Then Adjust / Blur / Motion Blur
Angle - 140
Strength - 100
Repeat
Lower opacity to around 70
 
Activate top layer
Paste Pawprint2 as new layer
Image / Rotate by 20 to the left
Resize by 10%
Duplicate several times, Mirror and position to your liking around tag
 
Crop and resize

Choose a colour from your scrap and set your Material Palette with these settings:
Foreground - #FFFFFF
Background - #e046a6 (or colour from your scrap)
 
Select your Text Tool and font of choice
I am using Cheri
Stroke width - 1.5
Size - 30
Align centre
 
Type in your text
Place in position
Convert to raster layer
 
Apply a drop shadow:
H & V - 1
Opacity - 20
Blur - 3.00
Colour - #000000
 
Add your name in same or other font
 
Finally add your © copyright, licence and watermark

Shift D to duplicate then close the original
Image / Canvas Resize with the following settings:
 
 
Add a new raster layer
Flood fill white

Selections / Defloat
Selections / Modify / Expand by 1
Paste Paper12 as new layer
Resize by 75% ALL LAYERS UNCHECKED
Adjust / Blur / Gaussian Blur with a radius of 10.00

Delete then deselect
Duplicate the set blend mode to Multiply
Lower opacity to 55
Layers / Merge / Merge Down

Activate SHAPE2

Position to the right and slightly down
Activate SHAPE2 layer and click the area outside the shape
 
Selections / Modify / Inside/Outside Feather
Inside CHECKED
Feather by 2
 
Use your Eraser Tool to erase the BOTTOM ONLY of Cinderella
Deselect
 
Activate BRACKETS
Selections / Select All
Selections / Float
Selections / Defloat
Selections / Modify / Contract by 1
 
Activate Cinderella again and erase the part of her over the Brackets
So it should now look like this:
 
 
Paste Tree2 as new layer
Resize by 60%
Position BEHIND Cinderella
Use your Eraser Tool to erase the area that protrudes over the brackets where you just erased Cinders *g*
 
Activate SHAPE2
Paste Rainbow3 as new layer
Activate SHAPE1
Select the area outside with your Magic Wand
On your Rainbow layer hit delete
Deselect
 
Paste Flower13 as new layer
Resize by 30%
Position next to Cinderella to the left
 
Paste Flower7 as new layer
Resize by 30%
Position to fill in spaces, erasing any excess
Layers / Merge / Merg Down
 
Flowers should now be ONE layer
Hide this layer for now while we work on the next
 
Paste Fence1 as new layer
Resize by 30%
Position to the right
Duplicate then Image / Mirror
Layers / Merge / Merge Down
Then resize by 90%
 
Move this layer to the layer BELOW the Brackets
Use your Freehand Tool to select the areas where you wish to delete the fence showing
 
 
Press delete and deselect
 
Unhide your Flowers layer and position in front of the fence
 
 
Paste FairyGodmother as new layer
Resize by 50%
Position in lower corner of "garden" at the end of the rainbow
 
Activate SHAPES1
Use your Magic Wand to select the outer area
Back on your FairyGodmother layer
Erase the bottom part of her
 
 
Paste one of the butterflies as new layer
Image / Rotate by 30 to the right
Resize by 5%
Position in your "garden"
 
Paste another butterfly
Repeat rotation but this time to the left
Resize by 5% and position
 
Activate your top layer
 
Paste Rainbow1 as new layer
Resize by 30%
Position in the upper left
On your SHAPE1 layer select the outer area
Selections / Invert
 
With your Eraser Tool set to around 15 - 20 in size erase just the area of the rainbow overlapping
 
 
Now activate your Background layer
Paste A-Dozi's Lace Frame as new layer
Resize by 65%
Leave in position
 
Paste Paper12 as new layer
Layers / Arrange / Move Down
 
Layers / New Mask Layer / From Image
Locate WSL_Mask44
OK
Layers / Merge / Merge Group

Select your Text Tool and font of choice
I am using Bickham Script Pro Regular with Bickham Script Fancy for the CAPS
 
In your Materials Palette check your Foreground is null and your Background is your colour of choice
I am using #5f0f11
 
Type out the text of your choice
Convert to raster layer
 
Choose another font of choice for your name
I used French Script MT
Type out your name, add some noise and a Gradient Glow
 
Apply a drop shadow:
H & V - 1
Opacity - 20
Blur - 3.00
Colour - #5f0f11
 
Finally, add your © copyright, licence and watermark

Delete and deselect

Position in lower left

Paste Bow as new layer
Resize by 20%
Position over centre of Flower
Apply same drop shadow
 
Paste Tube as new layer
Resize as necessary
Place into position
 
DO NOT MOVE!!
 
Duplicate and move between the Frame and Paper layers
 
Select the inside of the Frame with your Magic Wand
(Lower the opacity of the top layer so you can see what you are doing)
Selections / Modify / Expand by 10
Selections / Invert
 
 

Activate BOTTOM tube layer
Press delete and then deselect
 
Activate your TOP layer and return the opacity to normal
 
Apply a drop shadow:
H & V - 1
Opacity - 30
Blur - 5.00
Colour - #000000
 
Now draw a rectangle around the bottom half of your tube
 
 
Press delete and then deselect
 
Crop and resize

Still with your Text Tool, select another font for your name (I am using 2Peas Renaissance)
Objects / Align / Horizontal Centre in Canvas
Convert to raster layer
Apply a Gradient Glow:

Resize by 30%

Resize by 20%

Position behind Flower1
Duplicate and move slightly around
Duplicate and move again
 
Add a drop shadow to each flower:
H & V - 1
Opacity - 30
Blur - 5.00
Colour - #000000
 
Layers / Merge / Merge Down
Repeat till all flowers are Merged
 
Paste Doodle1 (Butterfly) as new layer
Image / Rotate by 35 to the right
Resize by 8%
Position outside Frame
Duplicate then Image / Mirror
 
Paste BlingFlower as new layer
Resize by 50%
Position in lower left
Layers / Arrange / Send to Bottom
 
Crop and resize
 

~ Step 3 ~
 
Activate Background layer
 
Add a new raster layer
Selections / Select All
Paste Paper5 into Selection
Deselect
 
Layers / New Mask Layer / From Image
Locate WSL_Mask133
OK
Layers / Merge / Merge Group
 
Resize by 90%
 
Effects / Texture Effects / Mosaic - Antique with the following settings:
 
 
Lower the opacity of this layer to 60
 
Activate your top layer
 
Select your Pen Tool with these settings:
 
 
Now place your cursor/mouse where you wish to begin your text and click once
Move mouse over in a line and click once again
Continue in a line and click once
 
 
Right Click on node 1.
Node Type / Curve After
Click on the little arrow and pull up to make a hump on your line
 
Right Click on node 3.
Node Type / Curve Before
Click on the little arrow and pull down to curve downward
 
 
Select your Text Tool and choose your font
I am using Arriere Garde
Null your foreground and select your background a colour of your choice from your tube
 
This works much like typing on an ellipse
Place your cursor over the line till you see the A with a curved line under it
Type in your text
I chose "Hope Springs Eternal" (a double meaning phrase in this case *s*)
 
 
Use your Mover Tool to move text to the left or right till you are satisfied with its position
 
In your Layer Palette open the Vector Layer and hide the curved line/path
Convert to raster layer
 
Effects / Plugins / Eye Candy 4000 / Gradient Glow:
Glow width - 3.00
Soft Corners - 25
Opacity - 100
Setting - Fat
Colour - #FFFFFF
 
Add a slight drop shadow
 
Lower opacity to 45
 
I also added the word "Hope" in a script font, moved it to the layer beneath the dove and lowered the opacity to 25
 
Select another font of choice for your name
Objects / Align / Horizontal Centre in Canvas
Convert to raster layer etc.
 
Finally, add your © copyright, licence and watermark
 
Save as GIF or JPG and you're done!

Supplies
 
Scrap kit of choice - I am using Maggies Scraps part of the "Share Love Live" charity collab available from Paradise 4 Scrappers
Tube of choice - I am using the artwork of Elias Chatzoudis which can be purchased from My PSP Tubes

Fonts of choice - I am using Arriere Garde and Chowderhead
Plugin: Mura Meister Copies
Plugin: Eye Candy 4000 Gradient Glow
 
 
~ Step 1 ~
 
Open a new 600 x 600 blank canvas flood-filled white
 
Paste Frame1 as new layer
Resize by 85%
 
Use your Magic Wand to select the inside area of the Frame
Selections / Modify / Expand by 10
Add new raster layer
Paste Paper1 into Selection
Deselect
Layers / Arrange / Move Down
 
Paste your Tube as a new layer
Resize as necessary
Position over frame
 
Using your Freehand Tool draw around the bottom half of your tube and along the edge of the Frame
You may need to lower the opacity of your tube to see through to the Frame
 

Hit delete then deselect
Re-adjust to 100% opacity
 

~ Step 2 ~
 
Paste Rose as new layer
Resize by 35%
LEAVE IN CENTRE
 
Effects / Plugins / MUra Meister / Copies with the following settings:
 
 
Layers / Arrange / Send to Bottom
 
Adjust / Hue & Saturation / Colourise with the following settings:
Hue - 240
Saturation - 220
 
Adjust / Brightness & Contrast / Brightness/Contrast with the following settings:
Brightness - 15
Contrast - 0
 
 
Paste Wrap2 as new layer
Image / Rotate by 10 to the left
Resize by 70%
Place in position
 
Select the area around the Frame with your Magic Wand
Selections / Modify / Contract by 1
Selections / Modify / Feather by 2
 
Use your Eraser Tool to erase the excess ribbon over the edges
 
 

Paste PearlFlower as new layer
Resize by 30%
Position over bow of the wrap
 
Paste Beads as new layer
Resize by 50%
Position to the left on tag
 
Paste Butterfly as new layer
Resize by 20%
Position in upper left to your liking
Duplicate
Image / Mirror
Resize by 70%
Position on the frame near your tube
 
Crop and resize
 

~ Step 3 ~
 
Paste Paper5 as new layer
Layers / Arrange / Send to Bottom
 
Layers / New Mask Layer / From Image
Locate WSL_Mask33
OK
Layers / Merge / Merge Group
 
Set your Preset Shape Tool to Ellipse
Foreground - #000000
Background - null
 
Hold your Shift Key and draw out a circle around your tag
 
Select your Text Tool and a colour from your tube or scrap
Change the colours in your Palette:
Foreground - null
Background - #e2326b (colour I'm using)
 
Select a font of choice - I am using Arriere Garde
On the Curve type out any text of choice
I wrote "Share the Laughter, Live for Today & Love Every Moment"
Position text to your liking
 
 
In your Layer Palette open your Vector Layer and hide ellipse
Convert to raster layer
 
Add a slight drop shadow:
H & V - 1
Opacity - 20
Blur - 5.00
Colour - #e2326b
 
Select another font of choice - I am using Chowderhead
Type your name
Objects / Align / Horizontal Centre in Canvas
Add some noise and then a Gradient Glow:
Glow width - 3.00
Soft Corners - 25
Opacity - 100
Setting - Fat
Colour - #FFFFFF
 
Apply a drop Shadow:
H & V - 1
Opacity - 30
Blur - 3.00
Colour - #5e1a30
 
Finally, add your © copyright, licence and watermark
 
Save as GIF or JPG and you're done!

Beautiful Springtime

 
Supplies
 
Scrap kit of choice - I am using the delightful "Kaci" kit by DMK Designs which is available from Creative Scraps, Simply Beautiful Scraps and TKO Scraps
Tube of choice - I am using the artwork of Jamie Kidd which can be purchased from CILM
**PLEASE DO NOT USE HER ARTWORK WITHOUT THE APPROPRIATE LICENCE**
WSL_Mask226 by Chelle available on her blog
Font of choice - I am using Bickham Script Pro Regular
 
 
~ Step 1 ~
 
OK...we are going to start by creating our own template! *g*
But I'll be kind...I promise...
 
Open a new 600 x 600 blank canvas flood-filled white
 
Select your Preset Shape Tool to Rectangle
Foreground - null
Background - #000000
Draw out a rectangle
Objects / Align / Horizontal Centre in Canvas
Convert to raster layer
 
Select your Text Tool and the find the font Impact
Keep your Background set to #000000
You will need to set the font size rather large - I set mine to 85
 
Type out the word "SPRINGTIME" in all caps
Objects / Align / Horizontal Centre in Canvas
Convert to Raster Layer
 
Use the nodes on your Pick Tool on the Rectangle to size it in line with the text
Layers / Merge / Merge Down
Rename this layer Template1
 
Adjust the opacity to 45
 
Draw a long narrow rectangle across ways near the top of Template1
Objects / Align / Horizontal Centre in Canvas
Convert to Raster Layer
Duplicate and move it to the bottom of Template1
Layers / Merge / Merge Down
Rename this layer to Template2
 
Adjust the opacity to 55
 
Toggle the Foreground/Background in the Material Palette so that the Colour is now in your Foreground
Your background should now be null
Set the Line width to 8.00
Draw out a rectangle around the inside of Template1
Use the nodes of your Vector layer to adjust the size
Objects / Align / Horizontal Centre in Canvas
Convert to raster layer
Rename this later to Template3
 
Adjust the opacity to 65
 
Select a Star from your Preset Shapes
Draw out the shape of a large Star to the right
Convert to raster layer
Rename this layer to Template4
 
Adjust the opacity to 75
 
On the left draw out three smaller stars
Layers / Merge / Merge Down
Repeat
Duplicate
Image / Mirror
Layers / Merge / Merge Down
Rename this layer to Template5
 
Adjust the opacity to 85
 
You should now have a Template like this:

Activate Template1
Selections / Select All
Selections / Float
Selections / Defloat
Add a new raster layer
Paste Paper14 into Selection
Deselect
Delete Template1 layer
 
Activate Template2
Selections / Select All
Selections / Float

Add a new raster layer
 
Open Paper21
Image / Rotate by 90 to the right
Edit / Copy
 
Back on new layer of working canvas
Paste into Selection
Deselect
Delete Template2
 
Activate Template3
Selections / Select All

Add a new raster layer
Paste Paper20 into Selection
Deselect
Delete Template3
 
Activate Template4
Selections / Select All

Use your Magic Wand to select the area inside the Frame

Add new raster layer
Paste Paper16 into Selection
Deselect

Paste some flowers as new layers
Resizing them to around 8%
Position them to the left of the Frame
Layers / Merge / Merge Down
Repeat till all flowers are one layer

Paste DoodleFlower01 as new layer
Resize by 10%
Position behind flowers
 
Paste DoodleFlower02 as new layer
Resize by 12%
Image / Mirror
Position beside other DoodleFlower and slightly down
Layers / Merge / Merge Down

Image / Mirror
 
 
Paste Butterfly05 as new layer
Resize by 8%
Position to the left
 
Paste Butterfly06 as new layer
Image / Mirror
Resize by 8%
Position to the right
 
Paste Ladybug as new layer

Position above the I in "Springtime"
 
Paste Butterfly04 as new layer
Image / Rotate by 20 to the left
Resize by 7%
Position on the "S"

Position in the upper left
 
Paste PolkaDotRibbon&Eyelet as new layer
Image / Rotate by 50 to the right
Resize by 9%
Position in upper right
 
 
Paste PolkaDotBow as new layer
Resize by 12%
Position over bow on Eyelet
 
ACTIVATE CIRCLE FRAME LAYER!
 
Paste SatinFlowerHeart01 as new layer
Image / Rotate by 20 to the left
Resize by 12%
Position BEHIND flowers to the left
 
 
Paste WordLabel02 as new layer
Image / Rotate by 22 to the left
Resize by 35%
Position at top of the Frame
Layers / Arrange / Move Down
Repeat
 
Adjust the Butterfly on the corner to rest on the corner of the label
 
Paste Paper15 as new layer
Layers / Arrange / Send to Bottom
Resize by 50%
Layers / New Mask Layer / From Image
Locate WSL_Mask226
OK
Layers / Merge / Merge Group
 
Move Mask layer up slightly so that it is directly behind Template
 
Apply some slight drop shadows to your elements
 
Crop and resize
 

~ Step 4 ~
 
Paste tube as new layer
Resize as necessary
 
With your Magic Wand select inside the Frame
Selections / Modify / Feather by 2
Selections / Invert
 
Use your Eraser Tool and carefully erase the bottom of the tube
Deselect
 
 
Apply a drop shadow:
H & V - 1
Opacity - 30
Blur - 10.00
#000000
 
Select your Text Tool and font of choice - I am using Bickham Script Pro Regular
Foreground - null
Background - #000000
 
Type out your name
Objects / Align / Horizontal Center in Canvas
Convert to raster layer
 
Apply a drop shadow:
H & V - 1
Opacity - 20
Blur - 5.00
Colour - #000000
 
Finally, add your © copyright, licence and watermark
 
Then save as a GIF or JPG and you're done!
